Oh man , I have soo much gear I bring ( mineral exploration especially) - on person - hand lense , bottle of HCL , compass, scribe, magnet , gps, in reach , geotul, pick ,bags and zip ties , measuring tape , butter tags, flagging tape , pens/markers, writeintherain book , vest - and in the car , extra of everything above- fire extinguisher, first aid kit , shovel , winch .....and more
as for placer , a few pans , one screen (1 inch) , snuffer bottle , crevacing tool , metal detector ,rubber gloves .
Fair, placer is much simpler than hard rock.. tho still building that kit lol
