This Code of Conduct sets the standard for how we participate, disagree, and look after the Prospectors Web community.

Our pledge

Open and welcoming,
without harassment.

In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we as contributors and maintainers pledge to make participation in our project and community a harassment-free experience for everyone.

This applies regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our standards

What good participation looks like.

Conduct that helps

  • Using welcoming and inclusive language
  • Respecting differing viewpoints and experiences
  • Gracefully accepting constructive criticism
  • Focusing on what is best for the community
  • Showing empathy toward other community members

Conduct that harms

  • Sexualized language or imagery, or unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing someone else’s private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission
  • Other conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Our responsibilities

Clear standards, fairly enforced.

Prospectors Web maintainers are responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable behaviour and are expected to take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to unacceptable behaviour.

Maintainers may remove, edit, or reject comments, issues, and other contributions that do not align with this Code of Conduct. They may also temporarily or permanently ban a contributor for behaviour they consider inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

Scope

Inside the community and while representing it.

This Code of Conduct applies within Prospectors Web spaces and in public spaces when someone is representing Prospectors Web or its community.

Representation includes using an official Prospectors Web email address, posting through an official social account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or in-person event. Prospectors Web maintainers may further define and clarify representation.

Enforcement

Report a concern.

Reports are reviewed in confidence and handled according to the circumstances.

Report abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behaviour to the Prospectors Web team through our contact page.

The team will review and investigate complaints and respond as it considers appropriate. The identity of a person reporting an incident will be kept confidential. Further enforcement policies may be published separately.

Maintainers who do not follow or enforce this Code of Conduct in good faith may face temporary or permanent repercussions, as determined by other members of Prospectors Web leadership.
