I enjoy chasing placer and hard rock gold as a hobbyist. I also enjoy designing and building my own ultralight washplants, highbankers, rocker boxes, etc.
I also work as a geology field tech (geophysics, geochem) and GIS tech (mapping, data viz, data compilation) for a mine agent in BC, so I do a lot of SOW's, NOW's, technical reports etc.
My main research interest is orogenic gold deposits-- specifically understanding the structural controls (faults, shear zones) and lithological controls (reactive host rocks) that make gold precipitate in some places but not others.
